REPLAY II

You may have noticed we’ve been quiet for a while?  We’ve not gone away but we have been really, really busy. After our fab Christmas ball at the end of last year, our guitarist Stu dropped a bit of a bombshell; he and Helen had decided to return to the UK.  Those of you who…

Champagne and Candies

We’re heading north today to the very pretty Domaine de Grolhier;  an imposing, 18th century private estate, nestled in the middle of 5 hectares of private land and next to a large migrating bird sanctuary; the lake Grolhier… in the north of the Dordogne. This was going to be a joint gig with our friends at THE CANDY…

Fairytale Venue

We get to play at some great venues… it’s one of the perks of this wonderful job and today was no exception.  We were travelling to Chateau Cazanac, a fairytale castle that sits above a pretty medieval village, which sits above the fabulous Dordogne river in the heart of the Perigord Noir. We were booked…

Not Just a Wedding Band

We love weddings and when you are looking for the music for your wedding then it is important to find folks that feel the same.  But, just because we play at weddings doesn’t mean that this is all we do.  We also get booked for private parties and village and summer fetes. One of our…

Vin D’Honneur Anyone?

Most people book REPLAY for their evening party… and to be fair if you’re looking for rocking guitars and powerful vocals and a set list that will get everyone on the dance floor then you cant go wrong with REPLAY.. but… we also do a great chilled champagne set. Most of the local French weddings…

It’s All About the Money

Ben played bass with REPLAY.  He was struck down by a terrible illness in April and now faces months, if not years, of rehabilitation. He’s really popular and well known on the music scene in SW France and we (the musicians) wanted to do something to help.  So we did the thing we do best……

And then it rained…

We were booked to play at a wedding… but all the national weather forecasts were warning of a major storm system heading our way. We arrived at the venue and we were repeatedly assured that the storm was going to miss this venue… you’ll be fine …they said. So we set up for the Champagne…

Happy Birthday

We’re not only a Wedding Band… very often we get asked to play at bars, restaurants, village halls and private parties; and today was a private party. We drove off in the afternoon sun through the pretty rolling hills of the Dordogne countryside, nervous of the forecasted rain and hopeful that the sky looked clear….

Playing Outside

We are often asked if we are happy to perform outdoors.  This is south west France and we  have glorious springs and long hot summers and fabulously warm autumn days… so why wouldn’t we want to be outside? If you’re planing a big event outside and you want live music, then there are a few…

поздравление in the Perigord

Today’s Russian bride had promised us a wedding that would be a little different… and she was right!  We were booked to play during the ceremony, the champagne reception and the evening party… the venue was the fabulous Chateau de la Fleunie, an amazing boutique chateau hotel in the heart of the Perigord. We arrived…

Fundraising for Ben

Ben Elliott is an all-round great guy and up until 2015 he was our bass player.  We were really shocked to hear about Ben’s sudden illness in April and we’re still in shock now that such a strong, fit young chap could remain so ill in hospital. In these siutations you feel like you want…

April Showers?

Spring in South West France can bring every kind of weather!  I’ve been swimming in March, been so hot we’ve been watering the garden in April but also scraping ice from my windscreen on the school run.  This year I think the expression April Showers has been more appropriate. We were booked to play at…
