You may have noticed we’ve been quiet for a while?  We’ve not gone away but we have been really, really busy.

After our fab Christmas ball at the end of last year, our guitarist Stu dropped a bit of a bombshell; he and Helen had decided to return to the UK.  Those of you who have followed REPLAY from our beginning will know that Stu has always been an integral part of the band.  It was indeed sad news.

So in January, the remaining four put our heads together and we decided that we loved REPLAY too much to let it end.  We advertised for a new band member but this time we searched for a keyboard player.  We all felt that adding keys into our mix would open up so many song opportunities.

We spent a couple of months looking for the right person. We needed someone who was talented, someone with enough time to dedicate to the band (which is a lot!), someone who understands how bands work at weddings and private functions and we also needed someone who’s personality would fit… so all in all a very big ask!  But that person arrived in the form of Simon Parkinson, an experienced pianist and guitarist who we actually met last year at a birthday celebration in the Charente.

We’ve been locked away in rehearsal for a few months… but we’re ready now!  On Friday we’re off to the fabulous Château de Lisse in Gascony in SW France… and then we have a full and busy calendar for 2017 and even a few dates already booked 2018.

Our first public outing will be at Le Calice, (centre du village), Verteillac for the Fete de la Musique!  It’s going to be a very busy evening, so book your table and dont forget your dancing shoes… REPLAY II is ready to party!
